Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Groovii, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. They work alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data.

Groovii reads public Instagram accounts you choose to follow, works out which posts announce a workshop, class or event, and shows those in a single feed and map.

It is a listings service and nothing more. We do not organise, host, endorse, vet or sell tickets to any event shown in the app. Every event belongs to the teacher, studio or organiser who posted it, and your dealings are with them.

This is the most important thing on this page. Event listings in Groovii are extracted from Instagram captions automatically, including by software that interprets text. That process is imperfect. Dates, times, prices, venues and locations can be misread, out of date, or attributed to the wrong event.

Always confirm the details with the organiser before travelling, booking or paying for anything. Treat Groovii as a way to discover that something exists, not as the authoritative source of when and where it happens.

If you spot something wrong, the report button on any event tells us — that is genuinely how a lot of it gets fixed.

You need an account to use Groovii, you must be at least 13 years old, and the information you give us should be accurate. Keep your password to yourself — you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into it.

Please don't:

• Use Groovii for anything unlawful, or to harass anyone
• Try to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the service or its data
• Scrape, bulk-copy or resell the listings
• Add accounts you know to be impersonations, or submit deliberately false reports
• Attempt to reach another user's information

We may suspend or remove accounts that do these things.

Post text, images and event details originate from the Instagram accounts that published them and belong to their authors. Groovii shows this material to help people find classes, and links back to the original post. We claim no ownership of it.

If you own content shown in Groovii and want it removed, email hello@groovii.app and we will take it down.

The Groovii name, logo, design and software are ours, and these terms don't give you a licence to use them.

Groovii is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. We don't promise it will be available without interruption, that listings will be complete or accurate, or that the service will keep working in its current form. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it.

The app depends on Instagram remaining publicly readable. If that changes, parts of Groovii may stop working through no fault of ours.

To the extent the law allows, Groovii is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for losses arising from an event listing being wrong, missing or out of date — including travel, accommodation or booking costs incurred on the strength of a listing. This is why the app tells you to confirm details with the organiser.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

You can delete your account at any time from Account settings, which removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, or withdraw the service entirely, giving reasonable notice where we can.

We may update these terms as the service develops. The date at the top shows the current version, and we will give notice in the app of anything material. Continuing to use Groovii after a change means you accept it.
